PICK 004 · OUTIN NANO 2
OutIn Nano 2
Your coffee stop. No kettle required.
Manufacturer-based research · Not physically tested · Checked 16 October 2026

Built for the next coffee stop.
More stops between charges.
OutIn claims up to nine heated brews, each using 50ml from 25°C to 93°C. That makes battery life the strongest reason to consider Nano 2 for day trips. These are internal OutIn Lab results; colder water, larger servings and conditions change the result.
Less time waiting.
OutIn quotes heating as fast as 159 seconds for 50ml starting at 25°C, plus a full recharge in around 100 minutes with 45W USB-C PD. Heating time is not the full preparation-to-cup routine; a suitable charger and cable are needed.
Pack capsules. Or pick your beans.
Nespresso Original Line-compatible capsules keep preparation simple. The 8g basket takes ground coffee when choosing the beans is part of the pleasure. You will still need water and a way to deal with used coffee.
The essentials, before you buy.
- Choose your kit. OutIn’s box illustration lists the brewer, capsule adapter, ground-coffee filter with shower screen, spoon, cloth bag and USB-C cable. A mains charger is not listed; for full-speed charging, OutIn specifies USB-C PD with a 20V/2.25A (45W) output.
- Allow for the weight. The listed 740g is the machine alone. Water, coffee and accessories add to your bag, and each drink needs its own preparation and clean-up.
- Existing Nano owner? The original Nano Basket Plus is incompatible. Consider upgrading for the battery and charging changes; keep your Nano if it already covers your trips.
- Check the delivered cost. £159.99 is the dated displayed item price; no separate regular price was shown. OutIn’s general policy lists free UK shipping over US$39, but also allows possible import charges. Returns need authorisation; preference-return postage is customer-paid.
The machine is the simpler capsule setup. Add a grinder only if fresh beans are part of the routine you want. Explore the Fino pairing and its separate offer details.
Nano 2 versus the original Nano
Our upgrade view: choose Nano 2 if heating more coffees between charges and faster top-ups solve a real frustration. If one or two coffees cover your day, your original Nano may already do the job. The higher pump rating alone does not prove better espresso.

Manufacturer figures checked 16 October 2026, not a Renvaryn head-to-head test. The battery claims share 50ml and a 25°C start, but target temperatures differ by 1°C; do not read them as an exact runtime multiplier. *The 180-minute comparison is OutIn’s Nano 2 listing claim about its predecessor. Setup, charging & everyday care
- Use a USB-C-to-USB-C cable and compatible PD supply for full-speed charging. OutIn says to unplug before brewing; do not run the machine while charging.
- Add a compatible capsule or load the ground-coffee basket, then add 50–85ml water as directed by OutIn. The nine-brew test uses 50ml, not a full tank.
- OutIn’s quick-start instructions say to hold the button for two seconds to heat, or double-press for extraction with preheated water.
- Let brewing parts cool before handling. OutIn advises wiping the exterior with a damp cloth, keeping the main body out of water, and drying removable parts and the tank before storage. Follow the supplied instructions for descaling.
Using Fino? OutIn suggests grind setting 2-1 as a starting point, then adjusting to the beans. The grinder is separate from the standalone machine.

UK delivery, returns & common questions
Is Space Grey ready to order?
Yes: the Space Grey variant was marked available in OutIn’s current GBP product data at £159.99 on 16 October 2026. The other three colour options were listed, but this check does not establish UK-held stock or an arrival date.
Is that the total delivered price?
No—it is not a verified delivered price. The current UK-facing listing shows £159.99 with no separate regular price. The separate UK-selected checkout observation from 18 September displayed a £149.99 total before an address was entered. OutIn’s general policy lists free UK shipping for orders over US$39, but the checkout still required an address to confirm the shipping method and the policy warns that import duties or taxes may fall to the recipient. No personal address or payment details were entered. Confirm the final total and delivery estimate before paying.
Can I brew with hot water?
Yes. Preheated-water extraction avoids using the heater. OutIn quotes over 600 extractions per full charge, or up to 30 after a five-minute charge using water already at 93°C. Those are manufacturer claims about pumping preheated water, not 600 heated coffees.
Does it take every coffee pod?
Use Nespresso Original Line-compatible capsules or grounds. OutIn explicitly excludes Vertuo and Dolce Gusto; the supplied adapter pierces compatible capsules automatically.
Can I make a latte?
Brew espresso, then add milk in your cup. OutIn says the tank is for water only; it cannot heat milk.
What if it is not right for me?
OutIn’s published policy states returns within 30 days of delivery, subject to authorisation, condition, accessories and packaging requirements. Customer-caused returns and preference exchanges carry customer-paid postage. The stated limited warranty is 12 months; read the current retailer terms before ordering.
