Choose the service that suits the way you watch. Live view, alerts and recorded videos are available without paid recognition. With AI enabled, Birdfy can identify recognised birds and select still photos. Lifetime AI refers to recognition—not every optional cloud upgrade.
Cloud first; not microSD playback. Birdfy states that clips receive free cloud storage with 30-day retention. The visible microSD slot is for production testing and does not provide consumer recording or playback.
Slow down a fleeting moment. Birdfy lists a 100fps portrait mode with reduced video quality, with slow-motion editing in the app. It is an extra way to enjoy quick movements rather than only saving a standard clip.
Keep the feeding spot inviting. Choose a stable, accessible mounting position. Refill with suitable food, remove wet or spoiled seed and keep feeding surfaces clean. Solar charging and phone alerts do not replace ordinary feeder hygiene.

What does the £259.99 price include?
On 16 October 2026, the in-stock UK variant was Feeder 2 Pro with AI Lifetime Free, reduced from the displayed regular price of £349.99. The Pro’s specifications include a 3W solar panel. This is a dated snapshot; confirm the exact model, service package and delivered total before ordering.
Does it work without an AI subscription?
Birdfy says the free app still provides live viewing, auto-recorded clips, alerts and recaps. Species recognition depends on the AI service option selected.
Are both camera views 2K?
No. Birdfy lists a 2MP/1080p wide-angle lens and a 3MP/2K portrait lens. The moving portrait view is the Pro’s distinguishing feature.
Will the solar panel keep it charged all year?
It helps top up the battery when there is sufficient sunlight. Shade, winter conditions and camera activity affect charging, so plan for occasional manual recharging rather than assuming maintenance-free power.
How long are recordings kept?
Birdfy lists free cloud storage with 30-day retention. Download favourite moments before they expire; extended retention and other cloud features can be separate paid services.
Can it connect to 5GHz Wi-Fi?
No. Birdfy specifies a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi connection for the Feeder 2 series.
Does it record to a microSD card?
No. Birdfy explicitly says the slot does not support consumer microSD recording or playback.
